Abstract:The article uses the microwave imaging instrument(TMI) data from the Tropical Rainfall Measurement Satellite(TRMM) and FY-2d satellite cloud images to study the cloud system characteristics of Typhoon Morakot at different stages of development.The results show that the convective cloud activity inside the typhoon wall exhibits significant asymmetry,especially in the central area of the typhoon,where double cloud walls can be formed.Precipitation extends outward in the form of multiple spiral cloud bands from the center of the typhoon,with the highest precipitation intensity in the cloud wall area of the entire typhoon system.Ice and water particles are unevenly and asymmetrically distributed in the cloud wall of the typhoon eye,and the ice and water particles in the cloud wall are generally proportional.
