Abstract：Over 87 automatic weather stations was monitored by the Atmospheric Observing System Operations and Monitoring (ASOM) platform of CMA by using automatic weather station’s availability as assess index in Jiangxi province. No data, data error, error message format were statistics, The factors which influence automatic meteorological station were analyzed. The results show that the percent of no data is 26.8%. The percent of data errors is 47.1%, The percent of error message format is 26.1%. The lightning occupy 47% of all breakdown reasons . So strengthen the automatic weather stations of the lightning protection facilities is the important ways to improve the automatic weather stations availability.
