Abstract：Waveguide pressure unit(UD6) is a unique component of new generation Doppler radars(SA),it can ensure the duct full of dry air,so that high power and high frequency signal can be transmitted reliably in the waveguide. This paper introduces the structure,function and operating principle of waveguide pressure unit,discusses main causes of system fault and provides analytical methods for radar maintenance personnel,helping them make quick judgment and handling the failures. This study is helpful for improving radar operation support and provides reference for short term forecasting service.
