Improvement test of frozen soil equipment and Study on the relationship between frozen soil depth and meteorological factors

Abstract  Based on the analysis of structural defects of the traditional frozen soil equipment, the frozen soil depth data is preferable to practical observation by the new test equipment with new sampling method. On comparative analysis of sampling data, the results show that the data of distribution of frozen soil in different depth acquired by new and old equipment are quite different. The traditional frozen soil equipment and sampling method have obvious shortage such as poor response and big loss of sampling. But the frozen soil depth data acquired with the new method has better correlation with minimum temperature, the sum of hourly negative temperature and wind speed in low-temperature. Furthermore, the test method and result can provide technical basis for improving the traditional frozen soil equipment.
