Abstract Based on the assessment results of precipitation phenomenon meter tested by CMA meteorological observation center and the Precipitation Phenomenon Observer Functional Requirements Book (trial version),the precipitation phenomenon meter has been tested for 2 months on the spot.According to statistical analysis on test data,the overall status of major performance for precipitation phenomenon meter is obtained.Meanwhile,the data were compared with the manual observation and the precipitation process was analyzed.And the individual differences in precipitation recognition ability of precipitation phenomenon meter are revealed.
