Comparative analysis on automatic ground-based observation technology of the cloud |

Abstract At present,the devices of detecting cloud height include active observation equipment and passive observation equipment.The devices of detecting cloud cover mainly adopt the infrared and visible light imaging method,using image processing techniques to detect cloud cover.The method can simultaneously observe cloud height and cloud cover mainly adopting a variety of observation equipment integration technology.The cloud classification is priority to artificial observation.Due to the different measuring methods and the detection principles of each device,it brings about the different detection abilities.Through the comparison and analysis of the differences between different observation technologies,the optimal observation methods and equipments are selected,providing the basis for the automation of cloud observation.
