Abstract This paper introduces the structures of DZZ5 automatic weather station and HY3000 main collector.Based on the maintenance practices in various counties in Nanping during these years,this paper summarizes the methods for diagnosing the malfunction of DZZ5 automatic weather station caused by lightning strike.It also offers four-case studies of troubleshooting on HY3000 collector.The suggestions are made on protection from lightning strike and the replacement of main collector,which would serve as a reference for maintenance personnel.
