Abstract The observation data of DGS5 precipitation instrument in Poyang national basic automatic station from January to March in 2018 were selected for statistical analysis.The weather observation data are used as the reference standard to analyze the accuracy of the precipitation instrument.The results show that the data integrity of precipitation instrument meets the current operation needs.The instrument has a high capture rate for observation of precipitation (shower) weather phenomena,but having a low capture rate for trace precipitation.
