Abstract  Based on the detection examples of raindrop precipitation phenomenon instrument in the precipitation phenomenon instrument measurement and testing laboratory, the measurement uncertainty evaluation method of raindrop detection results of precipitation phenomenon instrument is introduced.Firstly, the composition and technical requirements of the raindrop detection system for precipitation phenomenon instrument are demonstrated.Secondly, the measurement model of raindrop detection results of precipitation phenomenon instrument is established, and sources of measurement uncertainty are analyzed. Finally, the evaluation method on the uncertainty is discussed. The results show that the uncertainty of the measuring results for precipitation phenomenon instrument mainly comes from the standard uncertainty of the tested equipment and the testing standard dector.
