Abstract  Based on the monitoring data from 2007 to 2020 in Ningxia, the distribution of small value below 10kA and large value above 200kA and 300kA of lightning current intensity was analyzed, and the data quality control method was proposed to eliminate the lightning current intensity below 6kA and above 300kA.The statistical characteristics of lightning current intensity before and after quality control were compared and analyzed. The annual, seasonal, monthly, daily and 24-hour distribution characteristics of lightning in Ningxia from 2007 to 2020 were analyzed, providing reference for the study of lightning prevention and disaster reduction in Ningxia.
