Research on risk assessment of waterlogging in mountainous cities:a case study of Guiyang city

Abstract  In order to reduce the impact of urban flood disasters on the development of cities all over the world,especially the mountain cities.The high-precision remote sensing images are used to extract land use types in the main urban area of Guiyang city of Guizhou province.The spatial distribution characteristics of waterlogging risk in the study area are calculated by combining meteorological,population,GDP and topographic data with positive and negative indexes and analytic hierarchy process.The results show that the risk areas above intermediate level account for 52.09%,mainly distributed in the central and northern parts of the study area.The risk areas above intermediate level account for a large proportion in individual administrative regions,up to 90.90%.The level of waterlogging risk is closely related to regional economic development,precipitation,topography and population,and is highly correlated with typical karst landforms.The results can enrich the research contents of relevant discriplines,and provide reference for local urban waterlogging disaster prevention and spatial management.
