Analysis on characteristics of short-term heavy rainfall during large rainstorm in Xiuhe river basin of Jiangxi

Abstract  This paper briefly introduces the source of rainfall data and methods used for analysis,makes statistics of the large rainstorm processes occurred in Xiuhe river basin of Jiangxi from 2013 to 2022,analyzes the characteristics of weather situations and finally analyzes the characteristics of short-term strong rainfall from the perspectives of typical weather situations and the radar echo characteristics.The conclusions obtained are expected to be used as reference and basis for the research of large rainstorm in this river basin and mitigation of flood disasters.
