Analysis of the characteristics of two rainstorms during Meiyu period in Taizhou in 2023

Abstract  Through the comparative analysis of the extremely heavy rainstorm process in Taizhou on July 6 to 7,2023,and the rainstorm process on June 18 to 19,2023,it is found that the position of the 5 840 gpm line has a certain indication significance for the rainstorm falling area,the intensity and position of the southwest jet have a good correlation with the magnitude and falling area of the rainstorm,the K index has a good correlation with convection in the Meiyu period,and the atmospheric precipitable water is greater than 65 mm has a certain indication significance for the rainstorm forecast.
