Comparison of multiple detection methods for sudden changes in visibility at Enshi Airport |

Abstract In order to study the sudden change phenomenon of annual average visibility at Enshi Airport using various methods,the observation data of visibility from January 1997 to December 2023 at Enshi Airport were used to calculate the average visibility value for each year.Use sliding t-test,Cramer's method,Yamamoto method,and Mann-Kendall method to detect sudden changes in visibility and conduct comparative analysis.The results showed that among the four detection methods used,the Mann-Kendall method could calculate the sudden change time of visibility well and was easy to operate.Other methods have poor accuracy and require repeated selection of subsequence lengths,lacking convenience.
