Abstract Aiming at the problems of nonintuitive operation monitoring of the new generation weather radar,indirect acquisition of technical support knowledge,low efficiency of remote expert guidance,and difficulty in daily maintenance supervision and management,a weather radar operation support method based on newgeneration technologies such as VR+5G+AI is proposed.Combined with this method,a threedimensional realscene remote monitoring platform for the weather radar in Nanchang was established,achieving remote visualization of the realtime operation status and core data indicators of each equipment in the radar room.An MR radar remote intelligent operation and maintenance collaborative expert system platform was established based on HoloLens,realizing 3D holographic scene guidance for the radar fault repair process through MR headsets and remote expert consultation.It can provide online guidance and supervision for the weekly and monthly maintenance business processes of the radar station personnel.Research shows that this system effectively improves the operation support efficiency of the weather radar.
