| Revision of the rainfall intensity formula in Luanzhou City and comparison analysis of new and old formula |

Abstract Using the 30year (19932022) minutebyminute precipitation data fromanzhou National Basic Meteorological Station,the maximum annual value method was used to sample,and the frequency distribution curves were fitted respectively according to the Pearson type Ⅲ,Gumb type and exponential type distributions.The best fitting method was selected according to the principle of minimum error,and the parameters of the storm intensity formula were solved by the least square method The new and old storm intensity formulas were compared,and then the Chicago method was used to analyze the shortterm storm rain type in Luanzhou City with the new revised formula.The results show that:the storm intensity formula obtained by the maximum annual value method and the Gumbel frequency distribution curve fitting has the highest accuracy.The storm intensity values calculated the new storm intensity formula of 515 min duration are larger than those of the old formula,and the storm intensity values calculated by the new storm intensity formula of 20150 min duration are smaller than those of the old formula.The research results can provide reference for the design of urban drainage system and flood control planning in Luanzhou city.
