Abstract Taking the example of Donghu petrol station of Botou city in Hebei province,based on the current requirements of technical specifications,this paper evaluates Donghu petrol station from the following aspects of lightning protection class,lightning and electrostatic safety grounding,and lightning protection design.The results show that the lightning and electrostatic safety grounding is in accordance with specifications,but lightning protection class and design does not meet the relevant requirements.Regarding to this practical situation,the correspondingtechnical measures are proposed.This study provides a certain reference for technical evaluation on lightning protection design for petrol station.
