Abstract With the improvement of oil and gas exploration development, exploration targets become more complex and difficult. So common exploration techniques are often difficult to solve the complex problems. The research and application of new seismic acquisition technology has great practical value. This paper mainly introduces application progress and exploration effects of four new seismic technologies in recent year such as acquisition technologies for large or stereo source with long cable, upper-lower cable and submarine cable. Meanwhile,it also simply analyses its future development trend. New technology of offshore seismic exploration has advantages in mid-deep exploration and complex structure imaging. Combined with specific geological targets, carrying out application innovation is the effective method for improving offshore exploration techniques.
