Statistical analysis on the operation efficiency of regional automatic weather station |

Abstract As an important supplement of national meteorological observation network,the operating ability of regional automatic weather station and its integrity and timeliness of detecting data directly affect the accuracy of weather forecast and the effectiveness of the decision service. According to statistical analysis on the operation of 141 automatic weather stations in northern Fujian Province from July 2014 to July 2015,it evaluates the station from three aspects of message transmission,equipment failure and the repair time. The results show that the communication network faults and power failures are the main reasons affecting the normal work of RAWS. Besides,every effort shall be made to eliminate the silence time,shorten the waiting time and the troubleshooting time. The ending of the paper analyzes and summarizes the fault causes of RAWS and puts forward some related solutions.
