Abstract The server virtualization technology can be used in the reconstruction of traditional network system,which solved the problems of equipment dispersion,high purchase cost and low utilization rate. This paper demonstrates the development of virtualization platform in Dalian Meteorological Information Center. Considering the requirements of VMWare vSphere virtualization platform construction for traditional network structure,platform construction,test and application deployment,how to reform and reconstruct network topology after virtualization construction in meteorological administration are discussed on focus. The conclusion is that the virtualization of meteorological applications has low malfunction and manageability.
