Abstract According to the current status of disaster recovery methods and capability deficiencies in municipal meteorological data center,a disaster tolerant system is designed from the perspectives of resource utilization,investment cost and schema stability etc.The production data center is rebuilt to meet high availability demands.And the disaster recovery data center is also established.This disaster tolerant system fulfills the demands of every potential failure scenarios in municipal meteorological data center by bring in local backups and offsite disaster recovery mode,ensuring the continuity of meteorological business.
