Abstract Based on the working principle of DSC1 weighing and SL3-1 tipping bucket rainfall sensor,the total amount of liquid precipitation,precipitation difference and the time to capture effective precipitation were compared and analyzed at Zhangqiu big monitoring station from April to October in 2015 and 2016.The great differences between two devices in measurement of liquid precipitation are mainly caused by precipitation intensity and duration.That is to say,the weaker the precipitation is,the longer the precipitation lasts and the greater the measurement difference is.
