Abstract Based on the analysis of the transmitter power reduction and fluctuation phenomenon caused by a failure of the klystron,this paper summarizes the structure,principle and fault judgment of the klystron for new generation weather radar CINRAD/CD in order to accumulate experience and further improve the guarantee ability for radar maintenance.
