Application of automatic observation visibility meter in fog warning system |

Abstract Based on the fog observation data of 70 stations in Jiangsu province in January 2013,the visibility differences observed by automatic and artificial observation in a foggy weather are compared and analyzed.The results show that the automatic observation of visibility data is obviously smaller than the artificial observation data in the fog state.According to the standard of the fog warning signal,the correction method is obtained by comparing the minimum visibility in manual observation and the automatic observation data,which provides a reference for the distribution of the fog warning signal.
