Abstract This paper briefly introduces a newly developed scanning mode for observing vertical wind field with 3830J new generation weather radar as the platform.And it also designs antenna pointing of specific 5 beams,solves real-time display and storage of 1024-point FFT power spectrum and realizes quality control of power spectrum data and normalization of power spectrum data as well as storing standard data format of new generation wind profiler radar.Comparing with the finalized boundary layer wind profiler radar,the results show that the two trends are basically the same.
