Abstract This paper mainly aims at the flow process of fault judgment which happened in weather radar receiver.Taking for example the fault of the weather radar of CINRAD/SA-D in Lianzhou due to the deterioration of the phase noise resulting in the deterioration of the disturbance of the linear channel clutte,according to check the receiving channel step by step,and adopting double channel parts exchange method and exclusive method to narrow the fault range,finally it locates the fault and removes the alarm to make the radar work normally.It also introduces in detail the receiver system,receiving channel,frequency source,signal processing system and so on,which would enhance the strain ability of radar operator for similar faults and ensure the normal operation of weather radar.
