Abstract This paper firstly introduces the research progress of echo fault for new generation weather radar in China.The signal flow,fault diagnosis and possible fault causes involved in the fault processing of weak radar echo are also described.Secondly,taking Korla new generation weather radar (CINRAD/CC) in July 2016 as an example,according to the signal process,the possible causes of failure are checked one by one,and the process of troubleshooting and maintenance is expounded and analyzed in detail.Finally,the technical summary of radar echo weak fault maintenance and treatment is put forward in order to provide reference for business personnel.
