Abstract In order to do a good job in the short-term forecast service of Tonggu rainstorm weather,using the precipitation data of Tonggu from 2012 to 2021 and the radar puzzle data of Jiangxi province,the extreme value statistics and radar echo characteristics analysis of Tonggu short-term heavy precipitation (≥30 mm/h) weather are carried out.This paper describes the spatial and temporal distribution and weather background of short-term heavy precipitation in detail.At the same time,the echo form of short-term heavy precipitation and the characteristics of four local echoes are analyzed in detail.The conclusion provides an analytical basis for the short-term and imminent forecast of Tonggu heavy rainstorm weather.
