Abstract:The article is based on the ground meteorological observation data (temperature, precipitation, sunshine duration, average wind speed, and relative humidity) from the Taihe National Basic Climate Station spanning 31 consecutive years from 1992 to 2022,methods such as linear trend analysis,Mann-Kendall trend test, and wavelet analysis were employed to investigate the long-term trends, abrupt changes, and periodic patterns of five meteorological elements in Taihe County. The results indicate that there has been a significant warming and drying trend in the climate of Taihe from 1992-2022.The annual average temperature has significantly increased at a rate of 0.36 ℃ per decade, and the warming trend has passed the significance test at the 0.01 level. The annual precipitation has shown a decreasing trend (-59.5 mm per decade),but this trend has not passed the significance test. The trends in annual sunshine duration, annual average wind speed, and annual average relative humidity over the past 31 years are not significant.Wavelet analysis reveals a primary oscillation period of 10 years for temperature,a primary oscillation period of 9 years and a secondary period of approximately 2 years for precipitation,a primary oscillation period of 12 years and a secondary period of approximately 3 years for annual sunshine duration,a primary oscillation period of 6 years and a secondary period of approximately 17 years for annual average wind speed, and a primary oscillation period of 12 years for annual average relative humidity. This study provides important data support for understanding the regional climate change patterns in Taihe and for scientifically addressing climate risks.
