Abstract:The article analyzes the variation characteristics of wind speed using hourly average wind speed data and ERA5-Land reanalysis data of 8 stations in western Jilin Province from 2005 to 2021,and compares the error characteristics of wind speed observation and reanalysis at different intensities,as well as the ability of reanalysis data to reproduce the daily variation characteristics of wind speed. The results show that the observed wind speed is highest in spring, followed by autumn, and lowest in summer and winter. The error of reanalysis data is also correspondingly reduced, but the reanalysis data is generally larger than the observation data, with a small standard deviation. When the observed wind speed in spring exceeds 3 m/s,the reanalysis data at some stations are relatively small. When the monthly wind speed at Zhenlai Station is greater than 3 m/s,the reanalysis data generally has weak reproducibility of daily wind speed changes, with wind speed errors exceeding 1.5 m/s during the maximum wind speed period in the afternoon. The research results can provide reference for improving the data accuracy of ERA5-land reanalysis data.
