Abstract:In order to ensure the accuracy of wind direction data,a study was conducted on quality control methods for suspicious wind direction data using Gray code frequency statistics,image observation,static wind missing method,and dual station comparison method for 9 national stations in Fujian Province in June 2021.The results indicate that the Gray code frequency statistical method can describe the specific fault information of the instrument.The dual station comparison method can avoid wind direction quality control false alarms caused by terrain or weather conditions.The image observation method relies on the sample situation and the experience of the staff,making it difficult to apply in automatic alarms.The static wind missing method has misjudgment for stations with high environmental wind speeds.Suggest incorporating the Gray code frequency statistical method and the dual station comparison method into daily data quality control to provide highquality wind direction observation data for monitoring,forecasting and services.
