Abstract:Wind profiler radar is mainly used for the measurement of clear sky atmospheric turbulence parameters and gives a provision of real-time atmospheric 3D wind field. The JKJ2 wind profiler radar in CMA radar network employs the standard distributed solid-state active phased-array technology to reduce system(transceiver)loss.By means of using row column phase scanning,it is flexible and simple weighting to approach the optimal antenna performance.Low antenna sidelobe level can be obtained by 20 channels of phase weighting,in favor of small scale turbulence detection and improvement of the reliability of sounding data.If the failure of 10% TR components is assumed, based on the active phased wind profile radar, the effect of antenna performance and the impact on radar detection performance are simulated. The simulation results show that the radar sounding has little effect under the condition of 10% TR components failure.
