Spatial and temporal variation characteristics of air negative ions concentration study in Hubei Province and its relationship with meteorological elements

Abstract:By using the data per 10 min from 18 air negative ion monitoring stations of Hubei Province in 2013-2014,the space-time distribution characteristics of negative air ion concentration in Hubei Province were analyzed.The results showed that the concentration of negative air ions from west to east showed a downward trend in Hubei Province.The mountain and forest are higher than that of the plain and hills.The rivers and lakes are higher than that of sandy and firm land.The average values of air negative ions concentration in spring and summer are higher than the seasons of autumn and winter.The diurnal variation trend is not exactly the same in different seasons.It basically shows high value in the morning and low value at noon.The daily extremes appeared in most of the early morning and late afternoon.The relevant equations of air negative ions concentration and meteorological elements were established.The wind speed,relative humidity and the concentration of negative ions were positively correlated.And the temperature and negative ions concentration were negatively correlated.
