Abstract:This paper synthesizes SRTM3 geographic elevation data and measured geographic information data of buildings and wind turbines above radar feed altitude.The radar coverage at different heights is calculated.The occlusion percentage of 360° range at different elevation angles of 0.5°~2.5° (interval of 0.5°) is selected to analyze and evaluate the detection environment of new generation weather radar.The research method is applied to the site selection environment analysis of the new generation weather radar in Dingbian,Shanxi Province.Through data quality control screening and GIS technology fusion data processing,the evaluation results of detection environment between different candidate stations are calculated.Considering the factors such as terrain and high building occlusion,the radar detection environment between different proposed stations is analyzed and evaluated.
