Abstract The sudden occurrence of the abnormal echo of CINRAD/SA weather radar on 20th Sep 2016 in Chongqing station causes the degradation of radar RF drive test signal,linear test signal,speed/bandwidth detection and clutter rejection etc.Restarting the RDA at remote end,it can found the time out of the alarm control program and lay off the radar by the faults.By analyzing the failure and warning message together,combined with the measuring of the critical point signal,this paper uses the replacement method to solve the failure that caused by the hardware signal processor,providing references and practice guide to the fellow colleague engaged in radar supporting work.
