Abstract According to the theory of data collection of SL3-1 double-tipping-bucket rain gauge,this paper makes a disassembly analysis on the source of precipitation data acquisition(SL3-1 tipping-bucket rain gauge)and does a deep research on the terminal (integrated version of the ground observation service software)that forms the uploaded data.It graphical illustrates the software and hardware faults that are prone to abnormal rainfall data in order to find out its forming causes and finally find the proper solution to the problems.This analysis method will not only gives good guidance to the ordinary staff to understand the connection principle of rainfall sensor and troubleshooting but also be of great significance to the professional competitors to clear their minds about the rainfall faults.
