Abstract In order to do a good job in forecasting the freezing weather of rain and snow in winter,a rain and snow weather process in northern Jiangxi from December 13 to 14,2020 was analyzed by using conventional MICAPS data,regional automatic station data,radar echo mosaic products and other methods.On the weather situation,the evolution of high altitude situation,surface weather map and temperature stratification are analyzed.In terms of radar echo characteristics,single radar echo characteristics,vertical structure of rain and snow echo and STI characteristics of rain and snow echo are analyzed.The research results provide a reference for the monitoring and early warning of rain and snow weather in northern Jiangxi.
