Abstract:The article analyzes the forms and distribution of carbon storage in marine sediments, revealing the indicative role of sediment carbon storage in paleoclimate and contemporary global warming. It points out that changes in organic carbon, inorganic carbon content, and burial flux can reflect fluctuations in atmospheric greenhouse gases and surface temperature.Based on the ocean carbon sink mechanism, this study proposes strategies to address global warming, including strengthening protection, developing carbon capture technologies, improving monitoring and prediction systems, and promoting low-carbon transformation, with the aim of providing scientific basis for mitigating climate change.
