Abstract:Based on the data of snow days and snow depth from 15 national meteorological observation stations in Xilingol League from 1961 to 2020,linear regression,Mann Kendall mutation test,and wavelet analysis were used to analyze the distribution characteristics of days with snow cover and snow depth in Xilingol region.The results showed that the snow cover in Xilingol League did not change significantly with latitude and longitude at the beginning and throughout the day.The first day of snow cover is significantly delayed overall,and the entire day of snow accumulation is significantly advanced overal.The number of snow days is distributed more in the east and less in the west,and decreases at a rate of 0.128 days per year.The peak of snow days occurred in January.There was a sudden change in the number of snow days in Abaga Banner,Sunite Left Banner,and Xianghuang Banner in the 1960s.The average annual snow depth increases from west to east,with the maximum snow depth occurring in Ulagai,and the overall maximum snow depth increases significantly over time.The maximum snow depth at 12 observation stations experienced a sudden change from the 1960s to the 1980s.Days with snow cover has a quasi 8-10 year cycle,and there are significant regional differences in the main cycle of maximum snow depth.
