Abstract:Tipping bucket rain gauge is one of the main existing equipments which measure the amount of precipitation in the meteorological observatory. From the analysis of the verification results,observers find that the measurement errors of the tipping bucket rain gauge are influenced by the amount of precipitation obviously,in addition,the rainfall intensity can not be controlled in the actual process of precipitation. Therefore,it explores the influence of the measurement errors which caused by the rainfall intensity,utilizes a new test method and a new part to reduce the error of tipping bucket rain gauge,and also researches and tests the achievements in experimental methods.
