Abstract:The automatic weather stations across the nation have a lot of field layout at present.The field distributions of automatic weather stations often suffer from the lightning mainly because the automatic weather station equipment usually adopts 220 V AC power supply in general.The alternating current in the field is often transmitted through overhead lines,which is easily suffered by the lightning and damaged the automatic weather station equipment.The lightning protection effect is limited by connecting power supply line and surge protector,so it is hard to solve the problem of the automatic weather station's lightning protection.By using the characteristics of physical isolation and electromagnetic induction of power transformer,the lightning pulse invaded in power supply line can be effectively isolated and absorbed,significantly weakening the impact of lightning pulse energy and achieving protection purpose of automatic weather station.
