Abstract This paper introduces the technical specifications of millimeter wave cloud radar installed in Beijing in detail.The vertical structure characteristics of cloud during a cold wave weather process from February 13,2020 to February 14,2020 were analyzed based on comprehensive meteorological observation data of ground station.At the same time,the echo characteristics of millimeter wave cloud radar are analyzed in detail and the conclusion is drawn in order to provide reference for the analysis and research of macroscopic structure and microphysical characteristics of cloud during cold wave.
