Abstract:Based on the hourly rainfall data from the national basic meteorological station and 26 regional automatic stations in Lechang from 2014 to 2023,as well as the ERA5 0.25°×0.25° reanalysis data,the spatiotemporal distribution and circulation characteristics of short-term heavy precipitation in Lechang City were studied.The results indicate that short-term heavy precipitation in Lechang City mainly exhibits local characteristics,with peak precipitation occurring in May and June,mostly from the afternoon to the evening,and with peaks between 14:00 and 18:00.In terms of spatial distribution,it exhibits a characteristic of "more in the east and less in the west," with higher precipitation frequencies in areas such as Wushan and Langtian Town,gradually decreasing towards the west.The circulation backgrounds for the occurrence of large-scale short-term heavy precipitation in Lechang City can be divided into six types: west wind trough eastward movement type,southern branch fluctuation type,subtropical high edge type,high pressure bottom type,easterly disturbance type,and tropical system periphery type,among which westerly trough eastward movement type and high pressure bottom type being the main types.
