Abstract：Based on the hourly and daily precipitation data of Libo National Surface Weather Station,the climate characteristics of short-term heavy rainfall in Libo County were systematically analyzed,and the strong short-term heavy rainfall and rainstorm events from 2009 to 2023 were emphatically studied.The results show that the 1-hour rainfall intensity standard of rainstorm red warning signal in Libo County should be set as 70 mm.The seasonal variation of rainstorm in Libo County is obvious,mainly concentrated in summer (May-August),accounting for 78.0％ of the annual rainstorm,of which rainstorm in June is the largest,accounting for 28.9％ of the annual rainstorm.
