Abstract:The article conducts experiments on Pt100 platinum resistance thermometers in air-medium temperature chambers and water-medium constant temperature baths,focusing on analyzing the self-heating of Pt100 platinum resistance thermometers and its impact on temperature measurement at different positions within the temperature chambers and constant temperature baths.It proposes the advantages and disadvantages of using air and liquid media for platinum resistance thermometer calibration.The results show that when the excitation current of the platinum resistance thermometer in an air medium increases from 0.05 mA to 8 mA,the temperature rises by nearly 3 ℃.When the excitation current is below 1 mA,the error caused by the self-heating effect can be controlled below 0.05 ℃,and the more the platinum resistance thermometer was placed in air medium,the smaller the error caused.In liquid media,the self-heating effect and placement position of the platinum resistance thermometer have a smaller impact on measurement results.The research results of this article will provide support for optimizing the calibration method of platinum resistance thermometers and improving the comparability,accuracy,and consistency of meteorological temperature observation data.
