Abstract:Based on multi-source observation data of the two supercell hail events in Taihe and Xiajiang in Ji'an,Jiangxi on March 12,2025,this article systematically studies the formation mechanism and warning characteristics of cold front triggered supercell hail through the analysis framework of "weather situation lightning distribution radar echo".The results show that the Mongolian cold high pressure drives the cold front southward, and the warm and humid airflow in front of the front forms a high-energy and high humidity environment. The mesoscale convergence line provides key lifting conditions for convection to occur.Supercell is accompanied by high-density lightning clusters, with a compact shape. Its core area is highly consistent with the hail falling area, and lightning density exceeding 15 fl/(min·km2) can be used as an effective short-term warning indicator.Radar observations show a composite reflectivity(CR) of 65-72 dBZ,a vertical integrated liquid water content(VIL) exceeding 60 kg/m2,and clearly visible bounded weak echo regions(BWER) and hanging structures in the vertical profile, confirming the existence of strong updrafts(>25 m/s) and hail growth mechanisms.Based on the characteristics of the study, the article proposes the construction of an intelligent warning platform for "lightning radar" collaboration.By dynamically tracking lightning clusters and radar echo patterns, the warning and forecasting capabilities of hail disasters are improved, providing scientific basis for the refined prevention and control of supercell hail.
