Abstract:Based on the observation data of the new generation weather radar in Weining,combined with the conventional observation data,a hail weather process occurred in Weining on the afternoon of August 13,2019 was analyzed.The results show that the unstable structure with upper cold and lower warm formed by the northward cold airflow over 500 hPa and the southwest warm airflow over 700 hPa,is the main reason for this process.When hail falls,the echo intensity and vertically integrated liquid are not the maximum values.After hail falls,the echo intensity and vertically integrated liquid are further enhanced before gradually weakening and dissipating.The strong central echo intensity of 60 dBZ and the vertically integrated liquid jump can be used as an important indicator of hail.
