Abstract:Using two shortterm heavy rainfall weather data from Chaisang District,Jiujiang City on August 13,2023,the characteristics of microwave radiometer detection data during the two processes were compared. The results showed that when analyzing the temperature difference between 1 500 m and 5 500 m in severe convective weather using microwave radiometer inversion,it is necessary to consider the distortion of the temperature inverted by microwave radiometer with increasing height, and the inverted temperature is higher than the actual value. Before heavy precipitation, the total water vapor content of the microwave radiometer showed a significant increase, about 10 minutes ahead of schedule. However, after precipitation, there was some distortion in the inversion of the total water vapor content by the microwave radiometer, and the water vapor content data performed better in the first heavy precipitation. The trend of precipitation can be determined based on the inversion of liquid water content in the path using a microwave radiometer, but the maximum data is only 50 mm,which is not suitable for determining the magnitude of precipitation. When shortterm heavy precipitation occurs, the KI,SI,and LCL indices inverted by microwave radiometers all show corresponding indications, which can be used as supplementary data for judging heavy precipitation. However,if precipitation has already occurred before heavy precipitation, the reference value of microwave radiometer data for monitoring shortterm heavy precipitation is relatively low.
