Abstract:In order to do a good job in monitoring and early warning of thunderstorms and strong winds, meteorological observation data such as rainfall, wind direction, and wind speed in Jiangxi Province,as well as radar mosaic data from the "Tianyan" comprehensive meteorological observation product system, were used to analyze the thunderstorm and strong wind process in Yingtan City in the early hours of March 31,2024.The results showed that thunderstorm and strong winds mainly occurred at 05:00 am on March 31,and 23 stations had wind speeds of level 8 or above within 1 hour.Yingtan National Station had the highest wind speed(27 m/s),with a wide impact range, high intensity, and high risk of disaster; The main influencing systems include high-altitude trough, middle and low-level shear lines,low-level jet streams, ground convergence lines, etc. The "dry up and wet down","cold up and warm down",low-level convergence,high-level divergence, and high convective effective potential energy provide good driving and thermal conditions for the occurrence and development of severe convective weather such as thunderstorms and strong winds. The scale and intensity of the squall line are large, and it develops into a significant "bow" shaped echo.Areas such as Yingtan are affected by the supercell at the head of the "bow" shaped squall line, resulting in hail and extreme winds. The research results provide analytical basis for monitoring and warning of thunderstorm and strong wind weather in Yingtan.
