Abstract:In order to do a good job in monitoring and early warning of heavy rainstorm, this paper analyzes the lightning characteristics of heavy rainstorm process in Nanchang City from June 19 to 20, 2023 by using ground meteorological elements, radar echo, lightning data.The results show that the heavy rainstorm is caused by the stable and little movement of the Meiyu front rain belt and the occurrence of multiple short-term heavy precipitation in the rain belt;Before the occurrence of short-term heavy rainfall, lightning occured frequently (exceeding the average lightning frequency line), and during the process of short-term heavy rainfall, lightning frequency rapidly decreased;Short term heavy rainfall is an important factor in the formation of heavy rainstorm, especially when there are more than two short term heavy rainfall in the same area, the probability of heavy rainstorm is very high;The echo band of heavy rainstorm is composed of short band echo and multiple convection cell echo, and the combined reflectivity can reach 45~55 dBZ.The research results are expected to provide an analytical basis for the monitoring and early warning of lightning and short-term heavy rainfall in heavy rainstorm in Nanchang.
